PGP Glass Ceylon PLC is the only glass manufacturing company in Sri Lanka with a rich history over 60 years. As the Island’s sole manufacturer, PGP Glass offers the entire moulded range of glass bottles for the Food and Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, Liquor and Cosmetics & Perfume industries. The company has invested in a 300 TPD furnace in 2016 and adding more Online inspection machines, dual chamber furnace, automatic packing and new line (6th line) subsequently.
PGP Glass has its wings spread over the length & breadth of the international shores with 11 manufacturing plants in India, Sri Lanka, USA & several marketing offices worldwide. The company is accredited with FSSC 22000, PAS and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.
In addition, the company has been accredited for many Export and Local awards from NCE, SLIP, NCCSL, CNCI, PEA (EDB) and Global Commerce Excellence Awards. PGC has a simple yet steadfast objective of fully servicing the Sri Lanka market whilst increasing the business in the specialized liquor and beverage segment in the international markets.

Why Glass?
Glass is made from natural raw material which is advantageous to our health since glass has an outstanding barrier that fights and protects against outside influences. Glass is non-porous and impermeable.
Glass has the capability to withstand extreme heat and cold, this enables glass to prevent chemicals from leaking into the contents it holds while maintaining its freshness and durability. Whereas PET bottles that are exposed to over 40C will start to leach with the contents.
Glass helps to maintain the aroma, flavor and freshness of food and does not negatively affect its contents in anyway. It is perfect for the long term preservation of food in its original state.
A used glass bottle can always be recycled into a new one because glass is 100% recyclable. Every ton of glass that is recycled saves more than a ton of the raw materials needed to create new glass. This proves that glass is very respectful of our environment, reducing landfills and saves energy.

Second Plant of 40 MT per day (60,000 to 70,000 bottles per day) was added at Ratmalana.
